Mobile crane capacity classes and load chart anchors

The capacity classes the crane estimator sizes into, each anchored to a named make and model load chart (Grove, Link-Belt, National Crane) with capacity at radius.

This is the exact table the Crane Cost Estimator runs on. Cite it as: Antero Trail, "Mobile crane capacity classes and load chart anchors", anterotrail.com/tools/reference/crane-capacity-classes. Primary sources are listed with each value and at the bottom of the page.

Cited sizing table of representative mobile cranes spanning boom-truck through 100 t+ all-terrain classes, for construction estimating. Every capacity_at_radius value and every max_capacity_tons value was transcribed by eye from the manufacturer load-chart PDF named in that row's citation (the PDFs render as images; charts were read from the rendered pages, not OCR text). Each row's capacity_at_radius comes from ONE stated main-boom length and ONE counterweight/outrigger configuration (named in the citation) on fully extended outriggers, 360-degree rotation unless noted; it is NOT a per-radius best-case across boom lengths, and this is a sizing aid, not a lift plan. Numbers were never inferred or interpolated: where a value was not printed in the source (notably max_tip_height_ft for the NBT30H-2, RTC-8050 II, RT890E, and GMK4100L-1) the field is null with a _note. requires_oiler is false on every row: none of these are lattice cranes and no manufacturer document reviewed states an oiler/second-operator requirement; whether an oiler is needed is set by jurisdiction/operational policy, not the spec sheet. Class labels reflect each model's actual manufacturer rating (e.g. the requested ~26 t boom-truck slot is filled by a 30 t NBT30H-2, and the ~55 t RT slot by a 50 t Link-Belt RTC-8050 II, with the 65 t RT765E-2 bracketing above). Unit note: max_capacity_tons is in US (short) tons; the GMK4100L-1 is nominally 100 metric tonnes = 115 US tons per its own product guide. EXTENSION 2026-07-11 (PRP-CALC-1 S8): 90 and 100 ft radius points appended per row, transcribed from the SAME source PDFs (charts additionally verified against rendered page images). Where the row's original boom-length column ends before that radius, the longest main-boom column printing a value there was used and its boom_length_ft is recorded on the point - those points are a different boom configuration from the row's 20-80 ft points (same counterweight/outriggers/360 deg). Exception at_115t@100ft: the strongest PRINTED column (117.1 ft) was used, not the longest. RT530E has no main-boom value past 85 ft radius in its document, so rt_30t keeps its original envelope.

Chart max = 230,000 lb (=115 US ton) at 8 ft radius on 37.2 ft boom, but that value is flagged 'over rear with special equipment'; the 360-deg max at 9 ft is 177,000 lb. Operational/jurisdictional default. (Task suggested 'true' for large AT/lattice cranes only where a cited basis exists; none found for this model, so left false.)
